Gasket is hot stuff
15 Jan 2000
A gasket compound capable of resisting temperatures from -185 degrees C to 1290 degrees C is suitable for use on gas turbines and chimney stacks, says its developer, Symonds Cableform.
The compound, Resbond 907 GF, is a single-component ceramic which can be applied as a paste from a cartridge or syringe. It cures and dries at room temperature, forming a hard, fireproof material which will also resist chemicals, solvents, and oxidising or reducing atmospheres.
