Acordis still lags at Akzo
15 Jan 2000
The Acordis fibres business - formerly Courtaulds - was the only sector of Akzo Nobel not to show growth in the third quarter, the company says. Coatings, chemicals and pharmaceuticals all performed well, with overall net income edging up 1 per cent to E197million on sales up 7 per cent at E3.6billion. Akzo Nobel is currently negotiating to sell Acordis to CVC.
