No reagents needed for dissolved oxygen analysis

Honeywell's new equilibrium probes can measure dissolved oxygen without consuming oxygen or reagents. Suitable for immersion, in-line or flow-through applications, the probes are also unaffected by inert fouling or changes in flow conditions. They are said to need very little cleaning and maintenance.
The probe's design is such that the oxygen consumed to make the measurement is balanced by oxygen produced within the probe. This oxygen is in equilibrium with that in the sample, ensuring that results are independent of flow rate and fouling.
The Honeywell probes are complemented with two models of analyser, which monitor and control DO over the ppb and ppm ranges respectively.
