Microkut is in a class of its own

Classification below 3 micro m is possible with Hosokawa MikroPul's new Microkut classifier, according to the company. The unit is said to `give the absolute optimum in performance throughout its applications.'
The classifier transports air and solids into the circumferential zone of a rotor, which generates accelerations of up to 15 600g. Fine material follows the air flow through the rotor, while course particles are deflected. The classifier features air-purged rotor clearances which ensure that no oversize particles enter the fines fraction.
