Low cost, simple level meter is easy to install

Offering simple, accurate, non-contact level measurement, the Meggitt Mobrey MSP420 ultrasonic level transmitter is priced at under £400.
The meter is said to address a growing need for simple, reliable level measurement and transmission without local control functions. Installation and set-up is quick and easy. The instrument is simply bolted on to the vessel lid or side, or mounted on a bracket above the liquid surface.
Measurement is made by monitoring the time taken for an ultrasonic signal to be reflected back from the liquid surface. A built-in microprocessor converts this reading to a level measurement, outputting a signal via a standard 4-20mA twisted pair which can be connected to a display unit, PLC or computerised control system.
