There's growth in gases

Industrial gases giant BOC saw pre-tax profits rise by 11 per cent in the year to September, to a record £445million, on turnover up 7 per cent at £4.02billion. The group's process equipment arm, the vacuum technology and distribution services business, performed particularly strongly, with operating profit up 28 per cent and sales increasing by 18 per cent. `Investment in new gases plants at customers' sites will increase this year, based on new orders gained,' comments chief executive Danny Rosenkrantz.
