Butterflies for range of light duties
15 Jan 2000
Sigeval has introduced its type KL butterfly valves designed for those applications where a light and economically priced valve will suffice.
Typical uses may be in heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems, on air and non-corrosive gas duties, or many applications in the food industry.
Available from Gard Products, the wafer type valve has an epoxy-coated, cast aluminium body with a replaceable EPDM liner. It can be installed between PN6/10/16 and ANSI 150 flanges without any need for flange gaskets.
The long-neck construction also allows easy installation and provision for insulation.
The valve is PN10 rated, and available in sizes from DN50 to DN200 (2 to 8in). The standard liner allows a maximum operating temperature of 110 degreesC. Although the valve can be operated by a notched lever or gearbox, the ISO 5211 topwork of the valve can also accommodate an extensive range of different actuators.
