Rover Group is painting with water colours
15 Jan 2000
The Rover Group in Oxford is now using aqueous paints rather than solvent-based paints on the Rover 75, as part of a green friendly effort within its manufacturing processes. Purified water supplied by a USF treatment system provides demineralised water for pre-treatment rinsing, post electro-coat rinsing, and as a base for the 17 different exterior paint colours available. It also plays a role in reducing overall water consumption at the plant.
Two Rapide Short Cycle Deionisers deliver 24m3/hour of purified water to the paint, 22 hours per day, seven days a week. The low maintenance capabilities and storage facilities ensure that purified water is available over this sustained period without interruption.
Rapide is supplied in a standard packaged format, skid mounted, pre-piped, pre-wired, pre-tested and pre-commissioned prior to dispatch.
