From the West out to the East

Bristol-based Delkor has recently commissioned the first of two horizontal vacuum belt filters for Hitachi in Japan at a flue gas desulphurisation plant near Tokyo. Each of the 12m2 filters dewaters gypsum slurry to produce a 10 per cent gypsum cake that is washed free of soluble chlorides on the filters. Delkor supplied the filters complete with ancillary equipment including primary dewatering hydrocyclones.
The filters were fully assembled in the UK for one-piece delivery to Japan. The order follows several similar contracts won by Delkor.
