Low cost controllers share design
15 Jan 2000
Building on its design and manufacturing skills, Yokogawa has launched the Green Series of low cost digital indicators, controllers and programmers. By standardising on common design principles, the company has reduced the number of products in the new range to 38, compared with the 500 in the previous range.
A feature of the new units is remote programming whereby they can be set up through the front panel using a novel LED light link from a remote computer, eliminating expensive hard-wiring.
Common features across the range also include: IP65 front panels; universal inputs (TC, RTD, Pt100, etc); universal outputs (on/off, continuous, time proportional); retransmission; 0.1 per cent input accuracy; three relay alarm outputs; universal power supply (90 to 260Vac); overshoot suppression; and autotuning.
The Green Series is made up of three groups: the 300 (general purpose), 500 (high performance), and 700 (high function) models.
