Awards are a MIAA formality

BHR Group and AEA Technology scooped the process sector prizes at this year's Manufacturing Industry Achievement Awards (MIAAs). The awards were organised by Process Engineering's parent company Centaur Publishing.
PE's judges awarded process product of the year to AEA's V-tex power fluidics device for treating off-gases from packed columns, and BHR's Marbond hybrid reactor/heat exchanger was named process innovation of the year. Both were featured in last month's PE (pages 39 and 50, respectively).
PE's sister magazine, Control & Instrumentation, awarded its product of the year MIAA to Alstom Drives and Controls for its fifth-generation ALSPA MV3000 AC variable speed drive, whose Data Drive Manager operator keypad to display monitoring and diagnostic data.
