Haden Drysys International has recently completed the design, construction, equipping and commissioning of Land Rover's new £110million paintshop at its Solihull plant in the West Midlands. In addition to managing the project, Haden was also responsible for the supply of process plant, environmental control systems and conveyors.
Siemens switches on in Malaysia
A new gas processing plant being built for the Petronas Gas Berhad company in Malaysia is to feature 18 'state-of-the-art' intelligent switchboards supplied by Siemens Industrial Projects & Systems. Siemens won the £3million contract for the 415V switchboards from the Korean-based Daelim/Snamprogetti contractor consortium.
Courtaulds snaps up petfood job
Courtaulds Engineering has been awarded a £2.1million plant modernisation project by Dalgety for its Spillers petfood plant in Northwich, Cheshire. A high-volume process and packaging line will be installed to produce extruded dry petfoods at higher throughput and enhanced efficiency. Courtaulds will be responsible for both design and project management.
Portasilo ties up Thames orders
The Bulk Handling Systems Division of Portasilo is carrying out its second contract with Paterson Candy as part of a single-source contract for activated carbon placed by Thames Water. Worth a total of £1.3million to Portasilo, the contract includes the supply of activated carbon slurry silos to the Coppermills and Ashford Common water treatment works.
Filtration packages for platform
Goodtech Vanpipe has won a contract worth around £750000 to supply a coarse seawater filtration package and gas filters for the Elgin PUQ (production/utilities/quarters) platform in the central Graben area of the North Sea.
Doo Won does well for Partech
Through its local agent Doo Won Industrial, Partech Instruments has received orders from Korea valued at over £200000 for instrumentation for the water industry.
