KDG splits itself in two
15 Jan 2000
From the beginning of last month, nstrumentation company KDG Mobrey has changed its name to Meggitt Mobrey. The company's focus has also changed - now centred on manufacturing and marketing its ranges of level measurement and control instrumentation. At the same time, a new business unit - KDG Instruments - has been formed to take on responsibility for the company's flow and pressure products.
Director and general manager of KDG Instruments is John Welch, formerly operations manager at KDG Mobrey's Crawley, Sussex, site, where the new company will be based. Meggitt Mobrey is at the company's existing headquarters in Slough.
`Our financial investment and our business effort will concentrate on supporting key markets,' Welch says. `Our new computer-based automated calibration system for the VA flowmeter range confirms our leading position.'
