Plantworld sends data and designs globally
15 Jan 2000
Rebis, the PC plant design solutions supplier based in California, has launched a comprehensive program for world-wide management, distribution and sharing of plant design and operational data.
The package, called Plantworld, will support what it sees as the growing need for distributed global designs, particularly where detailed work is carried out at different locations, the company says.
Plantworld features Plantlife Browser which enables world wide web and intranet access to Rebis' Plantlife software for integrated plant information management through web browsers, such as Netscape's Navigator and Microsoft's Explorer.
Plantworld also offers new converters to VRML which enable users to share 3D plant designs on the Internet and through private intranets. Rebis' own URL is http://www.rebis.com
