Compressor matches consumption to demand
15 Jan 2000
Shanks Chemical Services disposes of hazardous and toxic materials using a high temperature rotary kiln.
Compressed air is needed to power the pumps that force waste material into the kiln.
The air pumps use compressed air from the main ring at widely varying rate depending on the nature of the waste being processed.
Shanks is using a CompAir 475 SR speed regulated compressor and two CompAir Cyclon rotary screw compressors at the Pontypool site in Wales to match energy consumption to air demand.
