Leukaemia all-clear
15 Jan 2000
There is no evidence for increased incidence of childhood leukaemia and non-Hodgkins lymphoma around Scottish nuclear power stations, according to a 25-year study funded by the government's Scottish Office. Rates of leukaemia around Scottish Nuclear's two power stations, at Hunterston and Torness, are in fact lower than the national average, the report claims.
