Z-blade extruder meets challenge

Winkworth Machinery recently produced its largest Z-blade extruder mixer in response to a challenge delivered by a major chemical processing company.
The 15tonne, 185kW machine has a capacity of 2130litres and was designed to meet the chemical company's specific needs. `This was one of our more ambitious and larger projects', said sales director Paul WinkworthPlenty has consolidated its manufacturing at a site in Swallowfield, Reading, which now has 45 000ft2 of production capacity including a test laboratory and showroom for new and used machines.
