No more core for filter elements
15 Jan 2000
After extensive research into ways to reduce the costs of high-flow filtration applications, Pall Process Filtration has come up with the `Coreless' filter element.
This combines Pall's proven Profile depth-filter technology with a design that eliminates the core of the element. The large diameter element features low differential pressure polypropylene medium, so that fewer elements are required for a given flow rate.
Further savings are made by the ease of operation of the `Coreless' design. The element fits over a permanent 316L stainless steel core which is retained inside the filter housing. To change the element, it is simply pulled up over the core which is then ready to accept a new element, reducing downtime to a minimum.
The `Coreless' elements have an absolute rating. Combined with a continuous graded pore prefilter, this is said to give the ideal combination for low clean differential pressure, high liquid flow rate and long service life.
