Weighing system of many Talents
15 Jan 2000
Talent Weighing & Controls has supplied a customised system for feeding and count-weighing metal fasteners for one of Britain's largest manufacturers.
The system consists of a vibratory hopper to take fasteners from the production line storage hoppers to the weighing platforms. Fasteners are handled in acoustically treated vibrators to minimise noise and the system is programmed via an alphanumeric display and keypad.
An interface to a local printer for the production of hard copy shift records is provided, as well as links to factory PLCs.
Talent claims that programming the weigher is 'child's play'. A known number of samples are loaded and placed into the box and the weight and number recorded in the memory. All further determinations are compared to the original numbers.
