Bayer Polymers and PolyOne form joint venture

Bayer Polymers LLC and the PolyOne Corporation have formed a Joint Venture for the development, production and marketing of polyurethane systems in the USA and Canada.
Each company will own 50% of the new joint venture, which will be known as BayOne Urethane Systems LLC.
The joint venture will employ approximately 50 employees and is scheduled to become operational in June 2003. It will be headquartered in St. Louis, MO.
The Bayer sites that are to be involved in the joint venture include the research and development facilities and sales offices of the Bayer Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA, the production and laboratory facilities in New Martinsville, WV and the research and technical services facilities in Dalton, GA.
PolyOne's sites in St. Louis, MO, Commerce, CA and Sussex, WI and Kennesaw, GA will also be involved in the joint venture.
