Chemicals head to the Middle East

Ciba Specialty Chemicals and Astra Polymers are to co-operate in the production and marketing of customer specific additive pre-blends for the polymer industry in the Middle East.
Astra Polymers will be responsible for all manufacturing processes. A dedicated manufacturing facility, being built as an extension to Astra Polymers plant, will produce Customer Specific Blends using Ciba Specialty Chemicals' proprietary form-giving technology. The manufacturing facility will be situated in Damman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ciba Specialty Chemicals will be responsible for the technology, technical support and sale of the Customer Specific Blends to the polymer industry. Ciba will work closely with regional customers to develop tailored blends that satisfy both their stabilisation and additive handling requirements.
