IN BRIEF: BP Amoco's record quarter

As PE went to press, BP Amoco posted year-end profits of $6.2billion, up 40 per cent on the previous year. This was mostly due to a record fourth quarter in which profit before exceptional items rocketed 145 per cent to $2.1billion. A full report will appear in our March issue.
