Figure 13 - Direct field labour in manhours per lineal metre for erection of under grade level pipework. These manhours include for loading at the material storage site, transport to the work area and unloading. Also included is the cutting, laying in trenches, alignment, preparation for jointing for welded construction, tack welding and bevelling as necessary of prefabricated pipe spools or random lengths of pipe. Not included are jointing, welding, supports, pipe fittings, bolt-ups, testing, trench excavation and back filling.

Figure 14 - Direct field labour for distribution of schedule 40 pipe. This includes for loading at storage site and unloading within 10m of final location by lorry-mounted crane. Not included are manhours for lorry/crane driver.

Figure 15 - Direct field labour for handling of fittings. Included is loading at storage site and unloading at site, lifting into position, rigging, alignment prior to jointing. 3m above grade (deduct 50% for grade). Welding, bolting-up flanged joints and special supports are not included.

Figure 16 - Direct field labour for handling of flanged valves, loading and unloading at site, lifting into position, alignment and making joints. 3m above grade (deduct 50% for grade). Motor operated valves plus 110%. Screwed valves 50mm dia and below includes for making of screwed joints. Welding of weld-end valves is not included.
