Amalgamation forms seal giant

Manchester-based Flowserve Corporation, with $1.2billion turnover, has amalgamated four manufacturing companies into its fluid sealing division.
The four companies, which are BW/IP International, Pacific Wietz of Germany, Durametallic and Pac-Seal International of the USA, form what Flowserve claims is the world's second largest supplier of mechanical shaft seals.
