Government programme cuts back on wasted energy costs
29 Mar 2000
Site Specific Advice is now available to UK engineering companies which can knock 10 to 20 per cent off their energy bills for little or no cost to themselves.
Administered under the Energy Efficiency Best Practice Programme (EEBPP), any interested company should phone the Environment and Energy Helpline on 0800 585794. It will then be matched with a consultant offering advice in a range of areas including: energy management, transport, motors and drives, compressed air and refrigeration.
Successful applicants for free site-specific advice will receive a visit from an independent contracted energy specialist. A site survey will be carried out and a written report of recommendations will be sent to the company. Further help will then be available to help put the suggested plan into practice.
