Weir Pumps aims for growth

Weir Pumps is to replace its seven divisions with four small market-driven business units. According to md John Frew, the new arrangement will give greater focus to the company's main markets - power, oil (downhole and subsea), industrial, water and wastewater. The new units will be headed by Graham Bibby (power), Girdlestone Pumps' md Derek Hill (industrial), and Ian Morrison (water and wastewater), with a boss for the oil sector to be named later.
