The market for air pollution control systems, and the associated engineering and monitoring products, will be worth some $26billion this year, according to the McIlvaine Company. The largest customer will be the power industry, mostly for SO2 and NOx systems and particulate removal; the chemical industry is the next largest, with orders expected for acid gas scrubbers and organic adsorbers.
