Painting market set for growth
29 Mar 2000
Worldwide demand for paints and coatings is set to grow at 4.6 per cent per year, reaching 26milllon tonnes by 2003, according to the Freedonia Group. The market will then be worth more than $80billion, it adds. Large expansions in North America will feed the demand, while emulsion-based latex paints will continue to gain ground over solvent-based oil paint, the report says.
