Global process automation is now really the real thing

If anyone doubted the truly global nature of the process industries, then just consider the world's best-known brand Coca-Cola. The corporation's Japanese division has just selected Fisher-Rosemount's PlantWeb field-based architecture to serve the syrup and blending quality monitoring facilities at its Kiyama plant.
The F-R system includes a new Japanese language version of the DeltaV control system, Foundation fieldbus-compliant temperature, pressure and vortex flow meters from Rosemount and Coriolis mass flowmeters from Micro Motion.
According to Coke's Mr Y Fukuoka `the system works with the flowmeters to increase the accuracy of batch flow control.'
