DERA system has firmer foundations

A new coupling system for fluid-filled pipes promises to reduce vibration in `critical pipework applications'. The system, developed by the UK's Defence Evaluation and Research Agency, uses active vibration control, which was originally developed to counter vibrations in shipboard diesel engine systems.
