Groundbreaking in Singapore

BASF and Shell have launched the first major project of the millennium in Singapore, with their styrene monomer/propylene oxide joint venture breaking ground on a $500million plant. Producing 550,000tpa of SM and 250,000tpa of PO, the plant is scheduled to come on-stream in the second half of 2002.
