Filter firms find new owners
3 May 2000
Hosokawa Micron International has sold its MikroPul and Menardi-Criswell subsidiaries to Beacon Industrial of Charlotte, North Carolina. Both MikroPul and Menardi are international companies whose existing ranges of product recovery systems and filter products are said to complement Beacon's existing businesses.
UK md Malcolm Gale said: `This is perceived to be a very positive move forward for both companies. Mikro-Pul will continue to manufacture air pollution control equipment, as well as developing filter systems for product recovery and industrial dust collection... Menardi will continue to specialise in the design and supply of filter media, bags, sleeves and support cages for dry and wet filtration.'
Both MikroPul and Menardi UK will remain at their current Runcorn sites until new premises can be found locally.
