Virgin materials to carry ultra-pure compounds

Gas and liquid control distributors Boiswood is supplying the Furon UPM 1000 range of diaphragm valves, which are designed for safe transport of ultra-pure but highly aggressive chemicals.
With virgin PTFE body mouldings, the valves are virtually metal-free. Internal flow paths are fully swept, to eliminate the growth of bacteria.
Two integral containment areas within the units minimise contamination, and a port is provided so that the valve can be fitted with fibre optic leak protection. These features minimise the impact that leaks and contamination can have on operators, processes and the environment.
The valves are available in two- and three-way versions, and in 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" sizes.
