Leaving it to the specialists

According to centrifuge specialist Westfalia Separator, speciality is the key to excellence in process plant manufacture. It is for this reason, says the company, that it has now out-sourced all its systems manufacture to other specialist companies such as Agemore.

Part of the BI Industries Group, Epsom-based Agemore is a process plant manufacturer specialising in equipment for the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics and chemical industries.

As well as its sub-contract work, it also markets the Surmet ranges of Multimix process vessels and heavy-duty flush fitting valves.

Outsourcing to Agemore, according to Westfalia's business manager David Cawdery, `leaves us to concentrate all our efforts on commissioning, after-sales service and long-term customer support'. As for Agemore, general manager Dave Roebuck says `we handle everything working from initial P&IDs, right through to delivery of a complete system. Westfalia then completes the electrical work, testing and final commissioning'.
