All EU emissions monitored
22 Aug 2000
Fine Organics has installed a range of monitors with a fully integrated data logging and reporting package on a recently modified waste incinerator. The on-site incinerator monitors supplied by ETi have been upgraded to detect a wide range of gases including hydrogen fluoride, in line with Environmental Agency emission limits. It also needed to be able to detect all the EU listed Hazardous Waste Incinerator Emissions.
The ETi monitoring package consists of an MCS100E for monitoring combustion gases. The TUV approved M&A digital flame ionisation analyser for VOC monitoring is integrated into the package. Signals from a hydrogen fluoride monitor, an oxygen monitor and dust monitors are also fed into the system. Information is then transmitted to a networked emission monitoring data logging and reporting package, running on a Windows NT platform.
The incinerator is one of the first in the country to continuously monitor hydrogen fluoride.
