No more liquid-filled devices?
22 Aug 2000
That's the goal of Dresser Instruments Division with the introduction of its patent-pending technology intended to replace liquid filling of pressure gauges as a solution to the problems of vibration and pulsation in difficult applications.
The Liquidless gauge unit features a special cartridge containing an engineered damping agent, which dynamically dampens the instrument's pointer and movement. Dresser claims the unit will match liquid-filled performance in most applications, while offering significant weight and cost advantages.
The design is available for all Ashcroft pressure gauge styles and materials and is certified at standard full-scale accuracy.
