Ciba and Symyx in combination

Ciba Specialty Chemicals has joined forced with Californian combinatorial chemistry specialist Symyx to develop `more efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes' for additives. The companies have already collaborated on product discovery, but the new partnership is aimed at improving process technology to reduce production costs.
