Evolving range of transmitters
11 Apr 2005
Endress + Hauser has included a range of new features into its Cerebar S and Deltabar S Evolution series of pressure transmitters.
Responding to customers’ needs, they are said to meet the latest trends in legislation and directives such as ATEX, NACE and IEC 61508/61511.
The transmitters now include an integrated HistoROM/M-DAT memory chip for simple acquisition, back-up and display of key process data, as well as the identical configuration of other E+H Evolution pressure instruments.
Diagnostic functions, additional process information, simulation and analysis for improved process control are also now available.
The Cerebar S and Deltabar S both incorporate a self-monitoring ceramic cell that tolerates continuous temperatures to 150C.
This Ceraphire cell is made from 99% pure, corrosion resistant ceramic and provides long-term stability. Additional safety is provided by a robust, dual-chambered housing and secondary containment from the process. Both transmitters include a Quick Setup menu to make configuration easy and reliable.
All that has to be done is to select pressure, level or flow — according to the application — using the instruments’ graphic matrix. Just three pushbuttons provide complete functionality for easy and safe commissioning.
