Intergraph seals alliance with Bechtel

Bechtel has signed an agreement giving it unlimited use of Intergraph SmartPlant and Plant Design System software, continuing a 25-year relationship between the two companies. The deal, described as ‘multi-year, multimillion-dollar’, embeds Intergraph’s products into Bechtel’s design processes, the companies say.

‘SmartPlant Foundation will be the key to Bechtel’s project delivery work process,’ comments Bechtel’s senior vice-president and corporate manager for engineering, Ed Richardson.

‘SmartPlant will allow us to manage large amounts of information relative to an engineering, procurement and construction project. If the right information is available and accurate, it can be leveraged to make better operational decisions.’
