High performance metering

Companies looking for high performance metering pumps for use in hazardous areas can now turn to SPX Process Equipment following the introduction of the Bran+Luebbe ATEX-approved ProCam unit.

The ProCam plunger and diaphragm pumps are available in stainless steel and plastic designs and SPX says they can be used across a wide range of applications where an economically priced unit is required.

While the company’s standard Type DP15 and DP50 diaphragm pumps can be offered for metering up to 50 l/h, minor modifications are needed for capacities up to 500 l/h. The requirements of the ATEX Directive for the Types DP100, DP200 and DP500 are fulfilled by the simple use of special front plates.

This means SPX can offer an attractively priced solution and existing plastic ProCam diaphragm pumps can be modified retrospectively. As a result, costly alternatives such as conductive plastics or special materials such as Hastelloy can be avoided.
