Alcan announced yesterday that it has acquired the remaining 35 percent stake of Propack, the company's Chinese subsidiary. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Asia , Alcan Packaging operates 12 plants in five countries with more than 5,000 employees.
Propack became part of Alcan as a result of the acquisition of VAW Flexpac in May 2003. With 2004 sales of $90 million, the company holds a leading position in the Chinese flexible packaging market, serving international and local customers. It employs 1,200 people, with manufacturing sites in
