Deal covers intellectual property, employee contracts, brand name and product range but not Essex plant
Macclesfield UK -- Kemutec Powder Technologies Ltd of Macclesfield has acquired the intellectual property, employees, brand name and product range of Powder Process Systems Ltd (PPS). However, PPS’ plant in Southend on Sea, Essex, is not included in the deal.
According to Kemutec, the deal adds PPS’s range of air classifier and reverse jet filters to its range of KEK size reduction equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and paints/coatings industries.
PPS’ portfolio ranges from the lab mill delivering a few kilos/hour, through to large 300KW drive production machines capable of throughputs of several tonnes/hour, said a Kemutec statement.
“Our aim will be to build upon the already supportive customer base which PPS have whilst bringing this technology to KPT’s existing customers,” said George Tunnicliffe, Kemutec’s business development director.
