Emerson acquires Bristol Babcock

Southampton, UK -- Emerson has acquired Bristol Babcock from FKI plc of Loughborough, UK, for $121 million. The acquired company is to be renamed Bristol and positioned within Emerson Process Management, said a 17 March Emerson announcement.
Bristol Babcock has sales of around $80 million from a portfolio including remote terminal units, flow computers, transmitters and distributed process controllers. The company is headquartered in Watertown, Connecticut, and operates manufacturing facilities in the US, the UK and Canada.
"Bristol will extend the Emerson product portfolio and leadership in flow measurement products and services, enabling us to offer an even broader range of value, performance and reliability to our customers," said John Berra, president of Emerson Process Management, in a press statement.
