In January 2004, Grundfos acquired the German based pump manufacturer Hilge, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of sanitary pumps for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
At the beginning of 2006, Hilge became fully integrated within the Grundfos organisation. The amalgamation of the two businesses is seen as an important addition to the Grundfos product portfolio – as Grundfos develop and manufacture pumps for nearly any purpose within the field of fluid transportation, while Hilge specialises in the development of pumps that meet the particularly strict hygiene demands of the brewery, dairy, food and pharmaceutical industries.
