Endress+Hauser is an international Swiss family enterprise and belongs to the top group of instrumentation and automation solution providers for industrial process engineering. Endress+Hauser is a world-wide network of legally independent firms, led and co-ordinated by a holding company in Reinach (Switzerland). Today the Group comprises 41 sales and service companies in 38 countries, 23 production units in 9 countries as well as 7 management companies. At the end of 2004 Endress+Hauser employed a staff of 6,300 which generated sales of 784.5 million EURO.

Endress+Hauser offers sensors, instruments, systems and services for pressure, flow, level and temperature measurement as well as for liquid analysis and the registration of measured values. Samplers, system components and automation solutions also form part of the programme. Endress+Hauser customers use these products in plants throughout the chemical and petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food, water and waste water, paper, energy and well as oil and gas industries. Endress+Hauser was founded by Georg H Endress and Ludwig Hauser in 1953. The group has been wholly owned by the Endress family since 1975. In 1995, Klaus Endress took over the leadership of the group as CEO from his father. During the 50 years since its foundation, the company has consistently developed from a specialist in level measurement to a provider of complete solutions for industrial instrumentation and automation. Apart from the extension of the programme by many product and service innovations new markets were constantly developed. Competent selling and service have been ensured in every country of the world.
