Grundfos Named as a Green Hero

The Kensington Roof Gardens were the great setting for the recent Green Heroes 2006 awards. The gardens offer a high-rise oasis of peace and tranquillity in the centre of London for guests, as well as the resident ducks and flamingos.
Grundfos Pumps were delighted to have been a recipient of this environmental award that is only conferred on companies who have achieved a coveted Green Apple Award. Introduced for the first time this year, these Green Hero awards seek to publicly acclaim businesses who are recognised as “helping others to help the environment”.
David Bellamy presented these awards on behalf of The Green Organisation - an independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environmental group. The Green Organisation dedicates itself to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world.
The awards focus on the positive aspects of environmental endeavour and Grundfos are delighted to add this award to the recent Green Apple Award they won in the Science and Technology Section for their ongoing development of variable speed pumps that use 78% less energy than fixed speed counterparts.
Grundfos also won the overall Champion of Champions award against stiff international competition.
