Grundfos Euro-Hygia in fermentation process
12 Jun 2006
Consumers are increasingly demanding beer of a quality that reflects traditional tastes and brewing standards. Carlsberg have recently inaugurated Jacobsen’s Brewhouse to brew speciality beer with the same taste as it had back in 1897 when the old Carlsberg Brewhouse was first established. To achieve the high quality production of speciality beer, Jacobsen’s Brewhouse are using the Grundfos Euro-Hygia single stage, end suction sanitary pump within its fermentation process.
The Euro-Hygia complies with the particularly strict hygienic requirements within the different processes in the beverage industry, demanding that the pumps be capable of handling a complex fermentation process like the one at the Jacobsen Brewhouse. To be able to continuously offer customers speciality beer of the highest quality, the quality of the pumps used are an essential part of the process, and there are none better than the Grundfos sanitary range.
The Euro-Hygia is a versatile pump that is used in a variety of applications including; liquid transfer in breweries and dairies, mixing in soft drink applications, food processing plants, pure water systems, process pumping in the pharmaceutical industry and CIP systems.
