Bredel Releases New Spx-Duconite Hose Pump At Achema 2006
14 Jul 2006
At the Achema 2006, Bredel Hose Pumps, leading manufacturer of peristaltic pumps, has released the SPX-DuCoNite pump for challenging chemical applications. A high-tech surface-protection method has rendered the pump ultra resistant to aggressive media. The SPX-DuCoNite hose pumps are available in four sizes - with capacities of up to 5,000 l/h and pressures of up to 16 bar.
The SPX-DuCoNite hose pump reliably handles a variety of harsh materials, such as sodium hypochlorite, titanium dioxide, sodium hydroxide, catalytic agents, sulphuric acid, lime slurry, acidic liquors, solvents and resins. The SPX-DuCoNite hose pump is particularly suitable for applications in the areas of drinking-water and waste-water treatment, as well as the food and chemical industries.
Effective solution for the pumping of corrosive chemicals
Advanced hose technology enables the SPX to reliably pump corrosive chemicals for sustained periods of time. The peristaltic hose pumps are virtually maintenance-free with no expensive seals to replace, no check valves to clog, and no rotors and stators to wear out. Contrary to other pump types, a highly abrasive or corrosive nature of chemicals does not affect pump life. Thanks to the self-loading design, hose replacement is quick and easy. The combination of these features makes the SPX hose pumps a durable solution for tough chemical applications.
Every Bredel hose pump is an inherent metering pump with a repeatability of 99.5%. These self-priming pumps accommodate flow rates of up to 80 m3/hr. There are no internal universal joints, valves, dead corners, or glands to impede flow, and the pumps are reversible for back flushing of the pipelines. They provide up to a 9.5 m suction lift. Finally, the pumps are extremely durable: they will withstand pressures of up to 16 bar and can run dry indefinitely without damage.
