Endoline Machinery Ltd - PPMA Show Preview
27 Jul 2006
This year at the PPMA Show Endoline Machinery Ltd and Quin Systems Ltd will be proudly demonstrating their new strategic partnership for the first time. The partnership has been formed for the benefit of supplying complete systems for high-speed case packing, combining Endoline’s expertise in case erecting and sealing machinery with Quin’s high-speed pick and place machines. ‘We’re very excited about this new agreement’ says Endoline’s Managing Director Tony Hacker, ‘It means we can widen our offer to customers and provide them with complete solutions to meet their high-speed packing needs, whilst still focusing on what we do best and our respective areas of expertise.’
Endoline will be showcasing their top-selling Endoline Type 221 Case Erector at the show this year. As with all Endoline machinery, it has been built to the very highest quality standards and is designed to be robust enough to easily withstand the rigours of 24 hour production. The machine encompasses three main design concepts: a compact footprint, clear access and a unique dual opposing vacuum opening mechanism to ensure reliability and efficiency are maximised.
It can erect both standard corrugated and plastic corrugated cases which can be placed directly onto a shelf or into a freezer. In addition this series of machines can erect a number of different designs of cases and trays with hinged lids and pre-glued bases. The 221 Case Erector is renowned as one of the most versatile and efficient machines of its type available today. It is ideal for feeding pre-erected cases to automatic packing machines because it has been designed to produce particularly square cases, which is important for case packing machines.
Once the cases are erected Endoline and Quin can now offer an exceptional range of high-speed solutions for the automation of case packing, at rates of up to 100 cycles per minute. The Quin casepacker provides previously unseen speeds of up to 100 case layers/minute and is extremely simple to operate and set up for different products and case sizes with the aid of its intuitive graphical interface system. In addition this low maintenance machine is compact enough to fit in to existing hand packing areas and very easy to integrate with other machinery. With return on investment typically around 12 months it also offers great value for money.
For other applications, Endoline’s 310 Series of modular ‘pick and place’ case packing machines is ideal. It can load regular shaped products into cases or trays with the minimum of set-up and manual operator time. Designed to improve levels of automation and efficiency at lower speeds, and therefore lower costs, these machines are of particular benefit to customers who are looking for their first move in to full automation or those who believe that the machines currently on the market are just too complicated for their particular needs.
The Endoline 310 Series has been designed to automatically load regular shaped rigid or semi-rigid products into static cases and trays. The machines can accept tins, tubs, cartons, trays, bottles and other similar primary pack styles. Simplicity and cost-efficiency are key to the success of this machine. A combination of Endoline’s proven design and manufacturing techniques together with some innovative new features means the equipment is both flexible and low in capital cost. Typically, customers should achieve a return on investment of between 6 and 18 months.
Endoline also has an extensive range of machinery to close, seal and convey cases and trays to provide the complete end-of-line solution. With 25 year’s experience and an enviable reputation for excellent build standards, Endoline can work with customers to provide the ideal application for all aspects of their end-of-line packaging operation. From a simple semi-automatic case taping machine to a fully automated specifically designed system, Endoline has the expertise to find the right solution.
