25 Years Old – Still growing, still independent and still focused on the customer
4 Aug 2006
2006 is shaping up to be a busy year all round for Fileder Filter Systems.
Having recently launched their updated filtration catalogue, which encompasses the release of over 20 new products and ranges, they are dedicating a ‘bit of time’ to mark 25 years in business.
Fileders’ Managing Director, Martin Ede tells us "We're proud to have been in the filtration business for 25 years and and still remain independent. It allows us to keep in-touch with the needs of today’s customers and remain flexible, something large corporations don’t have the ability to do.
We’re very focused on customer service and strive to ensure that Fileder lives up to our philosophy and corporate statement of being ‘easy to deal with’. We understand that filtration may not be at the top of our customers’ importance lists but we try to make that element of their business a smooth, reliable and uncomplicated one."
So, any celebrations to mark this 25th anniversary?
Martin adds "We most certainly will be organising a company event for all the staff to enjoy, but we also decided to focus over the year on raising some money as a team, to support a local project.
The project we chose is the new Renal Dialysis Patient Comfort Suite at Kent & Canterbury Hospital, the aim being to raise £25,000 to equip the suite, designed as an area for patient recovery after treatment.
Fileder has contributed over £150,000 since its beginnings, to water-based charities who provide cleaner water to third-world countries and those hit by disaster. This time we wanted to make a single large contribution to a local based project. It’s really rallied the staff and they are doing all manner of weird and wonderful activities to raise money!"
One of Fileders’ other projects this yearwas to continue its sponsorship of one ofits engineers, Adrian Hope. Adrian andhis racing partner compete at nationallevel in the Super Sidecar Class, recentlyclaiming 5thplace out of 23 at MalloryPark. Reaching speeds of over 100 milesan hour, even in the wet, surely Adrian(the one who hangs off the back) shouldbe asking himself isn’t there a safer wayto spend your weekends?!
